Lorro specialises in mechanical and electronic design and engineering for prototyping and production or events and marketing. We approach difficult problems with creative and original solutions.
We offer services for mechanical projects including design, 3D modelling, prototype fabrication, Design For Manufacture (DFM). We have onsite facilities to fabricate precision mechanical components from virtually any material. Our machines include a Hurco VM10i 3 axis CNC machining centre, a Colchester Triumph 2000 engine lathe, plus numerous other welding and fabrication equipment.
Our electronic design capabilities include electronic engineering, circuit design and layout, prototyping and firmware development. From early concept prototypes through to fully developed designs, we leverage our extensive in-house equipment and expertise to realise our clients’ designs quickly and efficiently. Not all the projects we work on are able to be shown online, but technologies we have worked with closely of late include USB-C, HDMI, DisplayPort, battery charging and management and low power mobile devices.
Based in Bermondsey, south east London, our studio is part of Sugarhouse Studios, maintained by Assemble architects. Feel free to get in touch to arrange a visit.
Lorro was set up by Laurence Symonds after completing an MA in Design Products at the Royal College of Art and working there for a further 2 years for Intel, helping increase students’ access and understanding of electronics across the college.
